The new visual is released for the previously announced anime adaptation of the manga “The Summer Hikaru Died” (Japanese Name: Hikaru ga Shinda Natsu, Also Known As Hikanatsu). The official X account of this anime released a new key visual:
The key visual features of the main characters Hikaru (Voiced By Chiaki Kobayashi) and Yoshiki Tsujinaka (Voiced By Shuichiro Umeda), standing under a refreshing blue sky in Kubitachi Village. One mysterious face on Yoshiki’s back is also spotted.

About The Summer Hikaru Died
The Summer Hikaru Died (Japanese Name: Hikaru ga Shinda Natsu) is a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Mokumokuren. It was serialized in August 2021 on Kadokawa Shoten’s Young Ace Up website. Mokumokuren first thought of this series while studying for exams and later began posting drawings of this series on Twitter. From there, the editorial department of Young Ace Up approached Mokumokuren to serialize the manga via the Young Ace Up website. There are a total of 4 Volumes of this series as of December 2023.
This manga is getting an anime adaptation by CygamesPictures which is set to release in the Summer 2025 .
