Netflix and WIT Studio’s upcoming anime remake The One Piece has released a brand-new visual for Episode 1, giving fans a fresh look at Monkey D. Luffy’s journey before the release of a new teaser trailer.
The newly revealed artwork is titled “Romance Dawn – The Dawn of Adventure”, referencing the first chapter of Eiichiro Oda’s legendary manga. The visual features Luffy standing aboard a boat beneath a bright blue sky, capturing the excitement and optimism that marked the beginning of his pirate adventure.
The official THE ONE PIECE social media accounts shared the visual with the message:
“Episode 1 art depicting the Dawn of Adventure has been revealed.
A moment that feels like you can almost hear protagonist Luffy’s voice and sense the beginning of a grand adventure.
Episode art will continue to be produced for each episode up to Episode 7.
Furthermore, today at 22:00 JST, a teaser trailer will be revealed to the world for the very first time.”
According to the announcement, similar episode visuals will be released through Episode 7, giving fans a closer look at WIT Studio’s interpretation of the East Blue Saga before the anime premieres.
The visual was revealed as part of the promotional activities surrounding Annecy International Animation Film Festival 2026, where new information about the highly anticipated remake is expected to be showcased.
The artwork also reconfirms that The One Piece is scheduled to begin streaming exclusively on Netflix in February 2027.
Fans have been eagerly awaiting a substantial update since the project was first announced in December 2023. Unlike the long-running Toei Animation adaptation, The One Piece aims to retell Eiichiro Oda’s original story from the beginning with modern animation technology and a newly structured production.
With the first teaser trailer arriving later today, fans may finally get their best look yet at how WIT Studio plans to recreate one of anime’s most iconic adventures.

About One Piece
One Piece is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. It began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in July 1997 and remains one of the best-selling manga series of all time.
The manga later received an anime adaptation by Toei Animation in 1999, which is still ongoing today. The upcoming remake, titled The One Piece, will retell the story from the East Blue Saga onward with a completely new production by WIT Studio.
