Japanese singer Ado has announced a major step in her global career by signing an agency agreement with WME (William Morris Endeavor), one of the world’s largest entertainment agencies.
The announcement was made through Ado’s official staff account, which confirmed that WME will represent the singer in all territories outside Japan.
The official statement reads:
Ado has signed an agency agreement with WME (William Morris Endeavor), one of the world’s largest entertainment agencies, for all regions worldwide excluding Japan.
Following this agreement, Cloud Nine will continue to oversee Ado’s overall management activities.
While WME will handle Ado’s international representation, her Japanese activities will continue to be managed by her longtime agency, Cloud Nine.
What Is WME?
WME (William Morris Endeavor) is one of the most influential talent agencies in the entertainment industry, representing artists, actors, athletes, and media personalities across music, film, television, sports, and digital entertainment.
The agency has worked with globally recognized artists including Bruno Mars, Billie Eilish, Alicia Keys, and Adele, while also maintaining major partnerships throughout the sports and entertainment industries. WME operates offices across Los Angeles, New York, London, Paris, Sydney, and several other major international markets.
In recent years, WME has also expanded its presence within Japanese entertainment, including signing Japanese dance and vocal group Number_i earlier this year.
Ado’s Global Rise Continues
Since debuting as an utaite on video-sharing platforms in 2017, Ado has become one of Japan’s most successful modern artists.
Her breakthrough came in 2020 with the release of “Usseewa,” a song that became a cultural phenomenon in Japan and propelled her into mainstream success. Since then, Ado has released numerous hit songs and contributed music to several major anime and film projects, including One Piece Film: Red, where she performed songs for the character Uta.
Ado’s international popularity has grown rapidly over the last few years. In 2025, she launched her largest world tour to date, Hibana, performing across Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, and South America.
The tour visited 33 cities across five continents and attracted more than 500,000 attendees. The singer also became the first Japanese artist to sell out major Western arena venues such as Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena and Newark’s Prudential Center.
With WME now overseeing her international representation, many fans expect Ado’s overseas activities to expand even further through additional concerts, appearances, collaborations, and global projects.
The announcement arrives as Ado continues one of the busiest periods of her career. The singer is scheduled to perform at Nissan Stadium on July 4 and July 5 and recently announced the publication of her autobiographical novel, Vivarium: Ado to Watashi, which is set for release in February 2026.
As one of Japan’s most recognizable modern music artists, Ado’s partnership with WME marks another significant milestone in her growing international presence.
