The brand new key visual and new trailer is released for the upcoming Season 2 of 2023 New Version of Rurouni Kenshin Anime “Rurouni Kenshin Season 2: Kyoto Disturbance” (Japanese Name: Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan – Kyoto Douran). Rurouni Kenshin – Meiji Kenkaku Romantan anime remake is based on the manga by Nobuhiro Watsuki. Season 2 of this anime will cover the iconic Kyoto Arc of the story. They also announced the opening theme song artist and additional casts for this second season.

It is also revealed that the Second season of this remake is set to release on October 3, 2024. The official YouTube channel of Aniplex shared this brand-new trailer and the official X account shared its first Key Visual:

About Rurouni Kenshin

Rurouni Kenshin – Meiji Kenkaku Romantan is a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Nobuhiro Watsuki. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shounen Jump magazine in April 1994. It contains 28 volumes, and after some years, it was reprinted into 22 volumes.

This manga later got an anime adaptation produced by Studio Gallop, Studio Deen, and SPE Visual Works which was released in January 1996. This anime has 1 featured film and 2 OVAs.

This manga also received an anime remake produced by LindenFilms which was released on July 2023. This series’ Season 2 is also announced and will be released in October 2024.
