Today 31 July 2024, the volleyball match is conducted between Japan and Argentina. During that match, the theme songs of the popular volleyball anime “Haikyu!!” (Also known as Haikyuu!!) was played. Some fans on X have posted the clips of the volleyball match where the theme songs are played:
The theme songs “Phoenix” and “Fly High” were played during this Olympics match. Both songs were performed by Burnout Syndromes. This match is won by Japan with a 3-1 set score. After Japan’s victory, the Fly High song was played.
Haikyu!! is a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Haruichi Furudate. It was serialized in 2012 in Shueisha’s Shounen manga magazine Weekly Shounen Jump. There are a total of 45 Volumes in this manga. It won the 61st Shogakukan Manga Award for the Shounen category in 2016.
This manga later received an anime adaptation produced by Production I.G in April 2014. This anime has a total of 4 Seasons, 4 Movies, and 4 OVA. They announced Haikyu!! Final film will be a 2-part Haikyu! film which will conclude its story. The part 1 of this Haikyu!! Final is named “HAIKYU!! Movie: The Dumpster Battle” which was released in Japan in February 2024.
