On 24 December 2024, the official X account of the rock band “GLAY” revealed that they will be organizing the Event Named “Glay EXPO” on the account to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Rock Band.

GLAY EXPO 30th Anniversary Event Details

GLAY will celebrate their 30th debut anniversary on May 25, 2024. “GLAY EXPO” is the title of GLAY’s representative live event, which has been held four times in the past earlier, but this time, the anniversary theme is “GLAY EXPO”.

GLAY is a Japanese rock/pop band from Hakodate, Hokkaido, Japan. It was formed by guitarist Takuro and vocalist Teru during their high school days in 1988. GLAY primarily composes songs in the rock and pop genres, but they have also composed songs using elements of different styles such as reggae and gospel.

The band members of GLAY are:

Guitar: Takuro (Takuro Kubo, leader and primary songwriter)
Vocals: Teru (Teruhiko Kobashi)
Bass: Jiro (Yoshihito Wayama)
Guitar: Hisashi (Hisashi Tonomura)

They have sold an estimated amount of 28 million records of 43 singles and 23 million copies of 14 albums as of 2008. They are known for performing theme songs for the “Diamond no Ace” anime series.
