On the occasion of April 1, 2024, The official staff members of the TV Anime “The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten” (Japanese Name: Otonari no Tenshi-sama ni Itsunomanika Dame Ningen ni Sareteita Ken) revealed that this Light novel is getting a live-action film adaptation.
They released the official Key Visual for this upcoming Live-action film and commented: “A sweet and passionate love story, It’s finally been made into a live-action film“. The official Key Visual starring Manaka Iwami as Mahiru Shiina is released:
This visual features Manaka Iwami as Mahiru Shiina. The catchphrase in this Visual translated as: “This is a sweet and passionate love story“. Manaka Iwami also commented about her involvement in this live-action movie:

But a note at the bottom right in the key visual translates as “This is an April Fools Day Measure“. Unfortunately, this Live-Action decision and comments are just an April Fools Joke. But still, season 2 of anime has been announced.

The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten (Japanese Name: Otonari no Tenshi-sama ni Itsunomanika Dame Ningen ni Sareteita Ken) is a japanese Light-Novel series written by Saeki-san and Illustrated by Hanekoto, and Kazutake Hazano.
It was originally published as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou (Let’s Become a Novelist). Later it was released by SB Creative under their GA Bunko label in June 2019. There are a total of 8 Volumes in this series.
This LN Later got a manga adaptation illustrated by Wan Shibata and composed by Suzu Yuki. It was serialized in Square Enix‘s online manga magazine Manga Up! in January 2022. There are a total of 3 Volumes in this manga as of December 2023.
This manga also received an anime adaptation animated by Project No.9 which was released on January 2023. A second season has been announced.
Yen Press licensed this manga in English and describes its plot as:
“A HEAVENLY ENCOUNTER! Mahiru is a beautiful girl whose classmates all call her an “angel.” Not only is she a star athlete with perfect grades-she’s also drop-dead gorgeous.
