Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World (Japanese Name: Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu) is a Japanese light novel series written by Tappei Nagatsuki and illustrated by Shin’ichiro Otsuka. It started serialization as a web novel in 2012 on the user-generated website Shousetsuka ni Narou (Let’s Become a Novelist). A total of 36 light novels, 5 side story volumes, and 9 short story collections have been published by Media Factory under their MF Bunko J imprint.

This Light Novel later got a manga series. The manga adapted the first four arcs from the novel into separate manga series. The first manga was illustrated by Daichi Matsue which was published in June 2014. The second manga was illustrated by Makoto Fugetsu which was published in October 2014 by Square Enix.

The third manga was also illustrated by Daichi Matsue which was published in May 2015 and September 2019. The fourth manga was illustrated by Haruno Atori with composition by Yu Aikawa and was published in September 2019. Media Factory has published two anthology manga with stories by different artists.

This novel later received a Visual novel in March 2017 by game developer 5pb.

This Novel later got an anime adaptation animated by White Fox which was released in April 2016. In October 2018 and November 2019, 2 OVA Episodes of this series were also released. This series later received a second season aired in 2 parts in which the first part was released in July 2020 and the second part released in January 2021. Season 3 of this anime series is also announced.
