On 2 January 2024, the official X account of the TV anime “The Duke of Death and His Maid” (Japanese Name: Shinigami Bocchan to Kuro Maid) which is based on the original manga by Inoue Koharu revealed that the third season of this anime is set to release in April 2024. Animation Studio J.C.Staff is back for animating the third season of this series. All staff members and Voice acting casts are returning for this anime. It is also revealed that Season 3 of The Duke of Death and His Maid will be the final season of this series.
The Duke of Death and His Maid (Japanese Name: Shinigami Bocchan to Kuro Maid) is a Japanese Manga written and illustrated by Inoue Koharu. It was serialized from October 2017 to May 2022, online via Shogakukan’s Sunday Webry website. This manga consists of a total of 16 volumes. This manga later got an anime adaptation by J.C.Staff in September 2021 and has 2 seasons. The third season of this TV anime will be released in April 2024.
Seven Seas Entertainment licensed this manga in English and explains its plot as:
“When the duke was a young boy, a witch cast a powerful curse upon him, making it so that any living thing he touched would die. Now a young man, he lives in a sprawling mansion with only servants for his companions: an elderly butler, and his childhood friend, a busty blonde maid named Alice. Despite the curse, Alice is constantly flirting with him and seems to delight in making him blush! But how close can they truly grow as long as the curse is in place?“
