This announcement has attracted a lot of attention as it is an unusual situation where a work whose original manga is being serialized and whose anime is currently being broadcast is being remade.” (Says Manga Editor)

The production company involved in the project is WIT STUDIO, which has worked on anime adaptations of recent hits such as “SPY x FAMILY” and the first three seasons of “Shingeki no Kyojin” (Attack On Titan).

The live-action version of “ONE PIECE” was distributed this year and was a huge success, attracting not only existing fans but also new fans who had not been exposed to “ONE PIECE” before.

In recent years, “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” has become the “face” of Shonen Jump, but with the success of the live-action version has once again proven that Netflix is betting on the high potential of “ONE PIECE,” which has reigned as Jump’s signature work for over 20 years.

If the remake of “ONE PIECE” gets off to a good start, it seems that they will immediately start working on the next remake.

Currently, the live-action version of “Yuu☆Yuu☆Hakusho” (Yu Yu Hakusho: Ghost Files) is also a hot topic in Japan, and it was also a long-running series like “ONE PIECE” and is also popular overseas. I’ve heard that the talks are already progressing in the upper management about a live-action version of “Naruto and “SLAM DUNK” which was a long-time hit when its new movie version (The First Slam Dunk) was released in 2022.” (Says Official)

Depending on the outcome of the “Great Voyage” of the anime “ONE PIECE” remake series, fans are likely to have more fun in the future.

After this BTS coverage, the rumors for SLAM DUNK Live-Action became very strong. Naruto’s Live-action action is already been in production for years and is likely to be announced any time. And We at Otaku Mantra, personally think that the Slam Dunk will be really great if the execution is as great as One Piece’s Live-action. What do you guys think about this coverage?
