Bocchi the Rock! Hoshi no Ashiato Movie Announced for 2027

Rather than focusing on Bocchi Hitori and the formation of Kessoku Band, the movie will explore the relationship between Nijika and her older sister, Seika, before the band came into existence.

About Bocchi the Rock!
Bocchi the Rock! is a Japanese four-panel manga series written and illustrated by Aki Hamaji. It follows Hitori Gotoh, an extremely introverted high school girl who dreams of becoming a successful musician.
After joining Kessoku Band, she begins performing alongside Nijika Ijichi, Ryo Yamada, and Ikuyo Kita, gradually developing her confidence through music and friendship.
The manga received a television anime adaptation produced by CloverWorks in 2022, followed by two theatrical compilation films in 2024. A second television anime season is also in production. The franchise has gained a dedicated international following through its combination of comedy, music, character development, and depictions of social anxiety.
