Summer 2026 may be shaping up to be one of the biggest seasons in modern Shonen Jump history.
According to reports currently circulating online, Tite Kubo’s BLEACH is set to return to Weekly Shonen Jump with the long-awaited serialization of the “Hell Arc” (Gokui Meimei-hen). The reports claim that the series will occupy a slot left vacant following the conclusion of SAKAMOTO DAYS, which is reportedly coming to an end within the coming weeks.

While fans have been waiting for updates on the mysterious Hell Arc ever since Kubo released the special one-shot chapter in 2021, no official serialization announcement has been made by Shueisha at the time of writing. As a result, readers should treat the current information as unconfirmed until Weekly Shonen Jump provides an official statement.
The possibility of BLEACH returning as a serialized manga has already sent shockwaves through the anime and manga community. The Hell Arc one-shot introduced a completely new conflict involving Hell itself and left readers with numerous unanswered questions. Since then, fans have repeatedly asked Kubo about continuing the storyline.
The reports become even more interesting when combined with another major development. Yoshihiro Togashi’s Hunter x Hunter is also reportedly preparing to resume serialization starting the week after next, bringing another legendary Shonen Jump title back into the spotlight.
Weekly Shonen Jump will finally feature three of the most influential shonen franchises of all time simultaneously once again: BLEACH, Hunter x Hunter, and One Piece.
For longtime manga fans, the prospect feels almost unreal. The last decade has seen many of Jump’s iconic series conclude, making the potential return of multiple legendary creators one of the magazine’s biggest moments in years.
