The official Instagram account of Encore Films revealed that the upcoming anime film “The Boy and The Heron” (Synonym: How Do you Live? Japanese Name: Kimitachi wa Dō Ikiru ka) will hit Indian Cinemas on May 10, 2024. This movie is directed by Hayao Miyazaki.

The Boy and the Heron (Japanese Name: Kimitachi wa Do Ikiru ka) is an anime film directed by Hayao Miyazaki at Studio Ghibli. It was theatrically released in Japan on July 14, 2023, and was screened in both traditional theaters and IMAX. They just released a single poster in Japan, and there was no other trailer, images, or visuals to promote this film. This movie very good response and grossed over $56 million in Japan.
This movie had its international premiere at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival on September 7. And it become the first animated film in history to open the festival and also the festival’s “strongest opening night film in decades”. This movie was also shown at the 71st San Sebastián International Film Festival, the 2023 New York Film Festival, the 56th Sitges Film Festival, and the 42nd Vancouver International Film Festival. It won the Best Animated Feature At the Oscars 2024.

“After losing his mother during the war, young Mahito moves to his family’s estate in the countryside.
