The upcoming fantasy action anime Overgeared has finally unveiled its first key visual and promotional video, while also confirming new cast members, staff details, and its broadcast window.
The anime, officially titled TEMPAL ~The Power of Items~ (Japanese Name: Tempal: Item no Chikara), is scheduled to premiere in October 2026.
Animation production is being handled by J.C.STAFF.
First Trailer, Key Visual & New Cast Revealed
The newly released trailer introduces viewers to the world of the VR game Satisfy, giving a first look at Grid’s journey from an unlucky gamer to one of the strongest players.

Director Ayako Kono commented:

“I’ve always admired blacksmiths. Enduring the heat of the flames while repeatedly forging metal with a clear image of the finished product feels like the very essence of craftsmanship. The protagonist’s name, Grid, means ‘greed,’ and he’s an incredibly ambitious man. At the same time, he’s clumsy, human, and someone you just can’t hate. While working on the script, I discussed with Director Ayako Kono how to best portray Grid’s growth throughout the story. Although he’s greedy, he’s also passionate and hardworking. Voice actress Saya Fukuzumi, who plays Euphemina, commented:

Voice actor Shuntaro Takayama, who voices Huroi, said:
“When I learned this was a story where fame and reputation inside a VR game could influence reality itself, I became immediately interested and couldn’t stop reading the original work. Even when things don’t go well in real life, the protagonist keeps moving forward through the game, and I think that’s one of the greatest strengths of this series. Huroi appears to be a cheerful young man, but there’s much more to him than meets the eye. Please also pay attention to his relationship with Grid.”
About Overgeared
Overgeared (Korean Name: Temppal, Japanese Name: Tempal: Item no Chikara) is a South Korean web novel series written by Park Saenal (Saenal). It was serialized on KakaoPage from 2014 to 2024.
The series later received a webtoon adaptation in 2020, adapted by Monohumbug with artwork by Team Argo (REDICE STUDIO), becoming one of KakaoPage’s most popular action-fantasy titles.
The story follows Shin Youngwoo, an unlucky young man burdened with debt who spends most of his time playing the world’s most popular VR game, Satisfy. Known in-game as Grid, he is considered an average and often unfortunate player until he discovers the hidden class of a legendary blacksmith. Although obtaining the class resets his progress, Grid begins forging powerful equipment that gradually changes both his fate and the entire game world.
