Garena and KADOKAWA have unveiled new details for the upcoming FREE FIRE: Daybreak anime, officially confirming the series’ title, a Spring 2027 premiere window, the main production staff, as well as a new promotional trailer and key visual.
The anime adaptation was first announced last year as part of Garena and KADOKAWA’s collaboration. The latest update offers fans their biggest look at the project so far, revealing its official title, story synopsis, and the creative team behind the adaptation:
FREE FIRE: Daybreak is scheduled to premiere in Spring 2027. The anime will be broadcast and streamed worldwide, including in Japan.
Animation production is being handled by Studio CANDY BOX, while Garena and KADOKAWA are jointly producing the project.
Alongside the announcement, the official website released a new promotional trailer and key visual, giving fans their first look at the anime under its newly revealed title.
Kelly Takes Center Stage in the New Story
Set in the futuristic metropolis of New Dawn, the story follows 16-year-old Kelly, who unexpectedly awakens a mysterious power known as “Limit Break.” The extraordinary ability allows her to unlock anything that has been sealed away, pulling her into the secrets surrounding the mysterious Project Bloom.
As fragments of her forgotten memories begin to resurface, Kelly joins forces with new allies to uncover the truth behind Horizon Corporation while confronting the growing threat facing New Dawn.
The newly released key visual features Kelly alongside Hayato and Moco, with shattered glass symbolizing Kelly’s awakening and the mystery surrounding her newfound abilities.
The anime’s main production staff has also been announced.
