About Dengeki Daisy
Dengeki Daisy is a Japanese shoujo romance manga written and illustrated by Kyousuke Motomi. The manga was serialized in Betsucomi from 2007 to 2013, concluding with a total of 16 volumes. It remains one of the most popular romance manga of its era and is also known for Motomi’s later series Queen’s Quality.
The story follows Teru Kurebayashi, a high school girl who loses her older brother and is left with nothing except a cellphone connected to a mysterious person known only as “Daisy.” Through encouraging messages, Daisy quietly watches over Teru as she struggles to move forward with her life.
After accidentally breaking a school window, Teru is forced to work under the grumpy school janitor Tasuku Kurosaki. As the two spend more time together, Teru begins to develop feelings for him while also wondering whether Kurosaki and the mysterious Daisy are somehow connected. Their relationship gradually unfolds into an emotional story of romance, healing, guilt, and long-kept secrets.
