Crunchyroll has announced that the compilation movie, Kaiju No. 8: Mission Recon will be released in Indian Cinemas on 11 April 2025. It will be available in Japanese with English subtitles. The poster for this movie has been released:
This movie features a high-action condensed recap of Season One and gives fans an exclusive new original never-before-seen episode, “Hoshina’s Day Off,” coming to theatres. The film also debuts a new ending theme song, “Invincible” by OneRepublic.
Animation Studio Production IG is in charge of animation for Kaiju No. 8 anime and Studio Khara is in charge of Kaiju designs and artwork for this anime.
Kaiju No. 8 Anime Season 1 was aired on 13 April 2024. The Opening Song “Abyss” was performed by British Singer YUNGBLUD and the Ending Song “Nobody” was performed by American pop-rock group OneRepublic. This anime is also getting a Season 2 which is set to release in July 2025.
Kaiju No. 8 (Japanese Name: Kaijuu 8-gou) manga is written and illustrated by Matsumoto Naoya. This manga was first launched in July 2020 on Shueisha’s Jump + Website. This manga was printed and shipped for the first time in December 2020. By March 2023, this manga has released 11 Volumes and these 11 Volumes are in serialization.
This manga was later released in English, licensed by Viz Media in North America. Crunchyroll describes the plot of this upcoming compilation movie as:
“In a Kaiju-filled Japan, Kafka Hibino works in monster disposal.
