Ending Theme: “TOMOSHIBI” by DUSTCELL – The dynamic duo DUSTCELL, vocalist EMA and composer Misumi, creates music that delves deep into darkness and sometimes the hope within, and brings a closing track that mirrors Rudo’s journey in the story.

Along with the opening and ending theme, New Characters and Voice Cast were also introduced with their comments.

Regto (CV: Toshiyuki Morikawa), the man who raised Rudo after he lost his parents. He gave Rudo a pair of gloves.

“I’m Toshiyuki Morikawa, and I’ll be doing the voice of Regto. He is the adopted father of main character Rudo and knows him better than anyone else. My character’s role is to watch over Rudo with both brotherly care and paternal strength. I’ll give it my best to bring him to life.”

Jabber (CV: Yuuki Shin), A Giver who belongs to the Raiders. He fights with a vital instrument called “Mankira” that contains a strong neurotoxin and flaunts his tenacity to other powerful Givers.

“I think the passion that fills the manga will come through even more in anime form. It’s still to be revealed what kind of role my character Jabber plays, but he’s crazy and incredible, so look forward to it!”

What is Gachiakuta? Plot, Themes, and Background

Gachiakuta is a battle-action story that follows Rudo, an orphaned boy born in a slum inhabited by the

descendants of criminals. The manga, created by manga artist Kei Urana and graffiti designer Hideyoshi Andou, began serialisation in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine in February 2022. It also won the Global Special Award in the Comics Category at the Next Manga Awards 2022. While developing the concept for Gachiakuta, Urana thought that incorporating graffiti art would make it more interesting and enlisted the help of graffiti designer Hideyoshi Andou.
