The official X Account of @hanakokun_info released the new key visual for the upcoming Season 2 of the TV Anime “Toilet-bound Hanako-kun” (Japanese Name: Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun 2). They also revealed that they had launched the official Instagram account for this anime. The official X account of this anime shared the new key visual:
This key visual features the main characters of this series Hanako-kun and Nene with a large moon in the background. The catchphrase in this key visual is translated as “Will you grant my wish?“

All staff members and voice-acting cast from Season 1 are returning in Season 2. Just like season 1, Animation studio Lerche will animate this season 2.
About Toilet-bound Hanako-kun
Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun (Japanese Name: Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun) is a Japanese manga written by Iro and illustrated by Aida, which results in their conjoined name ‘AidaIro‘. It was serialized in 2014 in Square Enix’s magazine Monthly GFantasy. This manga is still publishing and ongoing. As of July 2024, It has a total of 22 volumes.
This manga later received an anime adaptation produced by Lerche which aired in January 2020. A new anime project was announced in December 2022 which was subsequently described as a “restart” of the series. The “first installment” of the project, an adaptation of After-School Hanako-kun was released on October 2023 and the second installment of this After-School Hanako-kun was released on October 2024. This anime is also getting a second season and is set to premiere in January 2025.
