About Magic Knight Rayearth
Magic Knight Rayearth (Japanese Name: Majikku Naito Reiāsu) is a Japanese fantasy manga series written and illustrated by CLAMP. The manga was serialized in Kodansha’s Nakayoshi magazine from 1993 to 1996, with a sequel following shortly after. It later received two TV anime adaptations in 1994 and an OVA in 1997.
The story follows three eighth-grade girls—Hikaru Shidou, Umi Ryuuzaki, and Fuu Hououji—who are mysteriously transported from Tokyo Tower to the magical world of Cephiro. There, the mage Clef tells them that Princess Emeraude, whose prayers maintain the balance of the world, has been kidnapped by Zagato. Chosen as the legendary Magic Knights, the girls must master magic, forge powerful weapons, and pilot mystical Rune Gods as they embark on a quest to save Cephiro from destruction.
