It is officially revealed that Season 4 of Ascendance of a Bookworm, titled Ascendance of a Bookworm: Adopted Daughter of an Archduke, will be released on April 4, 2026, with 2 consecutive cours.

About Ascendance Of A Bookworm
Ascendance of a Bookworm (Japanese Name: Honzuki no Gekokujo: Shisho ni Naru Tame ni wa Shudan wo Erandeiraremasen), also known as AoaB or Honzuki, is a Japanese light novel series written by Miya Kazuki and illustrated by Yo Shiina. It was first serialized online on the Shosetsuka Ni Naro (Let’s Become A Novelist) website from September 2013 to March 2017. It was later acquired by TO Books, who published it in 33 volumes from January 2015 to December 2023.
This Light Novel series later received a manga adaptation with the art by Suzuka, which was released online at the Niconico Seiga website from October 2015 to July 2018. This manga has a total of 7 volumes.
This light novel also received an anime adaptation by Ajia-do on October 2019. This anime series later received a second season in April 2020 and it also received a third season in April 2022. This anime’s 4th season by Wit Studio has been announced for 4 April 2026.
J-Novel Club has published this light novel series and manga in the English language. They describes plot of this series as:
“A certain college girl who’s loved books ever since she was a little girl dies in an accident and is reborn in another world she knows nothing about. She is now Myne, the sickly five-year-old daughter of a poor soldier. To make things worse, the world she’s been reborn in has a very low literacy rate and books mostly don’t exist.
