The creator of Yona of the Dawn, Mizuho Kusanagi has issued a public request asking overseas fans not to post images of the manga’s final chapter, addressing an issue that has become increasingly common as the series approaches its conclusion.
In a message shared on her official X Account, the mangaka explained that posting images from the final chapter is not permitted, adding that this rule applies not only to Yona of the Dawn but to all manga published under Hakusensha’s Hana to Yume label.
I often see this happening overseas, but please refrain from posting images of the final chapter of Yona of the Dawn. It causes problems. This applies not only to Yona, but to all Hana to Yume manga. I understand that people are doing this out of support, and I would prefer not to have to say something like this, but thank you for your understanding.
Mizuho Kusanagi
The statement highlights an ongoing issue within the global manga fandom, particularly surrounding the sharing of unreleased or climactic chapter images online. Final chapters are often treated as special releases by publishers and creators, making them especially sensitive to unauthorized distribution.
While no further action or enforcement was mentioned, the post serves as a direct appeal from the creator herself, emphasizing respect for both the work and the publishing framework that supports it. Fans are encouraged to continue supporting the series through official releases rather than circulating manga panels online. Bookmark Otaku Mantra for more updates!
