Shueisha has filed a new trademark for SAKAMOTODAYS Mission: Rogue Dawn, according to an application published on December 1. The filing was submitted on November 20 in Japan.
The registration covers Class 9 and Class 41, categories commonly associated with digital software, game programs, recorded media, and entertainment-related services. The application lists 169 product and service items, including electronic ticketing devices and photo print systems.
Although no official announcement has been made, the classification suggests the possibility of a game-related project. This aligns with similar past filings such as My Hero Academia: All’s Justice, registered under the same category classes. In August, Shueisha also filed BLEACH Mirrors High under Class 9 and 41, which further supports the pattern of trademark preparation ahead of new multimedia announcements.
Earlier this year, Goodroid, a subsidiary of CyberAgent, released SAKAMOTO DAYS: Dangerous Puzzle, although an international release date has yet to be confirmed.
In a separate recent filing, Shueisha also submitted a trademark application for Uchino Otouto-domo ga Sumimasen, accompanied by a new logo variant not used in either the manga or its 2024 live-action adaptation. Additionally, a related domain registration has fueled speculation surrounding a possible anime adaptation announcement.
About Sakamoto Days
Sakamoto Days is a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Yuto Suzuki. It was serialized in November 2020 in Shueisha’s Shounen manga magazine Weekly Shounen Jump. As of April 2024, there are a total of 16 volumes of this manga.
This manga later received an anime adaptation by TMS Entertainment and was released in January 2025. This anime series also recived a second season which was released in June 2025.
Viz Media and Manga Plus liesensed this manga in English, both physically and Online. Viz Media describes its plot as:
“Time has passed peacefully for Sakamoto since he left the underworld. He’s running a neighborhood store with his lovely wife and child and has gotten a bit…out of shape. But one day a figure from his past pays him a visit with an offer he can’t refuse: return to the assassin world or die!“
