Aniplex has scheduled an announcement video on it’s official YouTube channel, which was released on February 24, 6:00 PM. JST. On that announcement video, just as speculated, the original manga by Sakae Saito, “Touring After the Apocalypse” (Japanese Name: Shumatsu Touring, Synonym: Riding a Motorbike At The End Of the World) is getting an anime adaptation. The official X Account for this anime has been created. They released the announcement Key Visual for this anime, and the official YouTube channel of Aniplex released its announcement trailer:
The key visual and trailer feature the 2 main characters of this series, Youko (Voiced by Konomi Inagaki) and Airi (Voiced by Miyu Tomita). As per the official website of this anime, this anime adaptation is having a stage in Anime Japan 2025, where both main casts will be present, and most probably some more information about this anime will be revealed.
Animation Studio Nexus will animate this anime adaptation. The comment has also arrived from its original mangaka:

About Touring After The Apocalypse
Touring After The Apocalypse (Japanese Name: Shumatsu Touring, Synonym: Riding a Motorbike At The End Of the World) is a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Sakae Saito. This manga was serialized in September 2020 in ASCII Media Works’ Seinen manga magazine Dengeki Maoh. As of June 2024, there is a total of 6 Volumes in this manga.
This manga is getting an anime adaptation by Nexus, which will be released in 2025.
Yen Press has licensed this manga in English and describes its plot as:
“Youko and Airi are riding through Gunma Prefecture when Youko collapses from inhaling Mount Asama’s volcanic gases! Luckily, a mysterious lone boy appears just in time to rescue the pair. He takes them to the nearby Kusatsu hot spring resort for some much-needed rest and recuperation—but as the girls’ relationship with him grows, getting back on the road becomes ever more complicated…“
