The previously announced anime project The Quintessential Quintuplets* (Japanese Name: Gotoubun No Hanayome*) released a brand new key long trailer. This project was Written and supervised by Original Manga Creator Negi Haruba which shown the daily life of the quintuplets as adults on a newlywed honeymoon travel. About The Quintessential Quintuplets
The Quintessential Quintuplets (Japanese Name: Gotoubun No Hanayome, Synonym: 5Hanayome) is a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Negi Haruba. It was serialized in August 2017 in Kodansha’s Weekly Shounen Magazine. There are a total of 14 volumes in this manga. This manga won the award for the Shounen category at the 43rd annual Kodansha Manga Awards in 2019.
This manga later received an anime adaptation produced by Tezuka Productions which was released in January 2019. This anime later got a second season produced by Bibury Animation Studios which was released in January 2021. After season 2, this anime franchise received a sequel anime film “The Quintessential Quintuplets Movie” which was released in May 2022. Later it got an anime television special “The Quintessential Quintuplets~” produced by Studio Shaft which was released in September 2023. On the account of 5th anniversary of this anime series, another brand new anime project “The Quintessential Quintuplets*” is officially announced.
Kodansha USA licensed this manga in English and describes its plot as:
“Five girls who want to do anything but study, and their tutor: a high school boy who’s got book smarts and not much else. Futaro Uesugi took the tutoring gig because he was desperate for cash, but when his students—the five beautiful daughters of a wealthy businessman—find five times the excuses to slack off, what can he do?! At this rate, the sisters won’t graduate, so if he wants to get paid, Futaro must think of a plan to suit each of them… Which feels hopeless when five out of five of them think he’s a loser!“
