Today, The final episode of Rurouni Kenshin Season 2: Kyoto Disturbance got aired. It was the Season 2 of 2023 New Version of the Rurouni Kenshin series which was a remake. After the episode aired, the official website of this anime accidentally released an image that confirmed that Rurouni Kenshin Season 3 is in Production! Animation Studio Lindenfilms animated first 2 seasons of Rurouni Kenshin remake and they will return to animate season 3 too. Rurouni Kenshin Season 2: Kyoto Disturbance was released on 3 October 2024: Old Staff members and voice acting casts returned for season 2 of this series.
About Rurouni Kenshin
Rurouni Kenshin – Meiji Kenkaku Romantan is a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Nobuhiro Watsuki. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shounen Jump magazine in April 1994. It contains 28 volumes, and after some years, it was reprinted into 22 volumes.
This manga later got an anime adaptation produced by Studio Gallop, Studio Deen, and SPE Visual Works which was released in January 1996. This anime has 1 featured film and 2 OVAs.
This manga also received an anime remake produced by LindenFilms which was released on July 2023. This series’ Season 2 of this remake was released on October 2024. Season 3 of this remake is officially announced!
