Today, the Jujutsu Kaisen Anime 5th Anniversary Special live stream was streamed on YouTube. On this special occasion, the officials of this anime revealed that season 3 of Jujutsu Kaisen will air in 2 parts and Part 1 of this season, titled Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3: The Culling Game Part 1 (Japanese Name: Jujutsu Kaisen Shimetsu Kaiyu Zenpen), is set to air next year January 2026. The official YouTube account of Toho Animation has released the brand new trailer for this anime:

Just like previously announced, Animation Studio MAPPA will be back animating this third season of Jujutsu kaisen.
It is also announced that Jujutsu Kaisen is also getting a compilation movie, which will contain a newly edited special edition of “Shibuya Incident” along with the global premiere of episodes 1 & 2 of “The Culling Game Part 1”.
This compilation movie is titled Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution -Shibuya Incident x The Culling Game Begins-. The official X account of this anime released its key visual:
This movie is set to hit japanese theatres on November 9, 2025. GKIDs has announced on their official X account that they will be releasing this compilation movie on December 5, 2025. Bookmark our website for more updates.
About Jujutsu Kaisen
Jujutsu Kaisen is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Gege Akutami. He launched the manga in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in March 2018. Viz Media licensed this manga in English and released it simultaneously digitally.
This manga later received an anime adaptation by Studio MAPPA. The series has two seasons and one anime film to date.
Viz Media describes the anime plot as follows:
“Although Yuji Itadori looks like your average teenager, his immense physical strength is something to behold! Every sports club wants him to join, but Itadori would rather hang out with the school outcasts in the Occult Research Club. One day, the club manages to get their hands on a sealed cursed object.
