Previously announced the 28th Film of the Detective Conan franchise, Detective Conan Movie 28: One-Eyed Flashback (Japanese Name: Meitantei Conan Movie 28: Sekigan no Flashback) has released a brand new key visual and trailer. This movie anticipates the flashback of Inspector Yamato Kansuke and Detective Mouri Kogoro. The official X account of this anime shared a new key visual, and the official YouTube channel of Toho Movie released a 90-second Non-Sleeping Promotion trailer:

It has also been announced that before the release of this movie, a special fan event will be held! This year’s fan event will feature live talks with the voice-acting cast, and new footage from the movie will be shown. Participants will also receive original event-exclusive novelties! This event will happen on April 13, 2025, at Yoyogi National Stadium First Gymnasium, with the cast members Minami Takayama, Yamazaki Wakana, Rikiya Koyama, Yuji Takada, Sho Hayami, and Ami Koshimizu. The participants will be selected through a lottery in which anyone can apply through the official website.

“A man named Yamato Kansuke from Nagano Prefecture’s Yatsugatake Renpo Unpo-dake. Nagano Prefectural Police’s Yamato Kansuke was chasing a man in the snowy mountains when he suddenly saw a suspicious figure. The moment he was distracted, the man fired a rifle bullet that grazed Kansuke’s left eye, triggering a massive avalanche.
Ten months later, a researcher at the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan’s Nobeyama facility was attacked, and Kansuke, who miraculously survived the avalanche, and his partner, Uehara Yui, rushed to the scene. During the investigation, the observatory’s giant parabolic antenna began to move, and Kansuke’s injured left eye suddenly started aching severely.
That night, the Mori Detective Agency received a call from a detective nicknamed “Wani,” who was a colleague of Mori Kogoro during his time at the police department. Wani was investigating the avalanche accident at Unpo-dake, which involved Kansuke, and found Kogoro’s name in the case file. Kogoro and Conan agreed to meet Wani, but on their way to the meeting spot, they suddenly heard a gunshot.“
