After more than five years of serialization, Blue Box is officially entering its final moment.
The upcoming Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #33 will feature the manga’s climax, accompanied by an extra-large color page and a special reader giveaway, signaling that one of the magazine’s most beloved romance series is nearing its conclusion.
Creator Says This Was Always The Planned Ending
In the author comment published in this week’s Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #32, creator Kouji Miura revealed that next week’s chapter will depict the long-awaited graduation ceremony—a milestone she had always intended to serve as the story’s conclusion.

Miura wrote:
“The graduation ceremony is next week. I intended to finish everything with the graduation from the beginning. Thank you for your support.”
The comment confirms that the series is reaching the ending Miura envisioned from the very beginning rather than ending unexpectedly.
Weekly Shonen Jump Teases The “Climax”
The preview for next week’s issue also describes Blue Box as reaching its “climax” (クライマックス) and teases an emotional chapter featuring an oversized color spread.

The magazine’s preview reads:
“This relationship is unstoppable! The heartwarming coming-of-age love story reaches its climax with an extra-large color page!”
Readers will also be able to apply for exclusive commemorative merchandise as part of the issue’s celebration.
Is Blue Box Ending?
While Weekly Shonen Jump and Kouji Miura have both confirmed the manga is entering its climax, neither has officially announced the exact final chapter or ending date.
However, with the graduation ceremony arriving next week and Miura stating that graduation was always intended to conclude the story, it appears Blue Box is now in its final chapters.
An official announcement regarding the series’ conclusion is expected soon.
