The official X Account of the popular soccer manga “Ao Ashi” (Also Written as Aoashi) by Yugo Kobayashi and Ueno Naohiko announced that this manga series is coming to an end. The official X Account of this anime has revealed that Ao Ashi manga will conclude its serialization with the current Barcelona arc in Volume 40. Ao Ashi manga was released in January 2015. As of December 2025, this manga has completed 9 Years since its serialization and this manga has a total of 38 Volumes. This manga is set to conclude with the final 2 volumes which reveals that this manga will have a total of 40 Volumes. As of September 2024, This manga had over 21 Million Copies in circulation.
About Ao Ashi
Ao Ashi is a Japanese soccer manga written and illustrated by Yugo Kobayashi and based on a concept by Ueno Naohiko. This manga was serialized in January 2015 in Shogakukan’s seinen manga magazine, Weekly Big Comics Spirits. It is revealed that this manga will have a total of 40 Volumes. This manga also won the 65th Shogakukan Manga Award for the general category in 2020.
This manga also received an anime adaptation by Production I.G and was released in April 2022.
Shogakukan Asia licensed this manga in Southeast Asia. Crunchyroll describes the plot of its anime as:
