The official X account of @oshinoko_comic officially announces, that the popular manga “Oshi No Ko” (English Name: My Star) by Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari is finally ending.
They announced that Oshi no Ko manga will end in the next 4 Chapters, which means this manga will conclude its story in issue 50 of Weekly Young Jump (Shueisha), released on November 14th.
It is also announced that this manga will undergo hiatus starting 10 October 2024 in Weekly Shounen Jump’s Issue 45 to Weekly Shounen Jump Issue 46. This manga will be back on Weekly Shounen Jump Issue 47 which will be released on October 24. After its comeback, this manga will be published for 4 consecutive weeks until Issue 50. And finally, in Weekly Shounen Jump’s Issue 50, This manga will finally End. The final volume of this manga, Volume 16, is scheduled for release on December 18th.
It is also announced that along with Volume 16, a special edition “Oshi no Ko 16 SPECIAL EDITION” with a special cover and book-stand, and stickers will be released at the same time. Additionally, it has been decided that a “perfect reproduction of the original” version of the “Ai Mugen Tokukyu Eien Oshi!!!” keychain that appears in the manga will also be released.
Oshi no Ko is a Japanese Manga written by Aka Akasaka and Illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari. They launched this manga in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine in April 2020. After 4 Years of Serialization, This manga is finally ending in November 2024. This manga will collect complete 16 Volumes with this announcement. Shueisha’s MANGA Plus service is releasing the manga in English digitally.
This manga received an anime adaptation in April 2024 produced by Doga Kobo. Season 2 of this anime series was released in July 2024. Season 3 of this anime series is announced. This manga is also getting a live-action film and a live-action drama. The live-action drama will be premiered on Prime Video on November 28, 2024. The Live Action Movie version’s release date is December 20, 2024.
