The Rising of the Shield Hero (Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari) is based on the original Light Novel by Aneko Yusagi and Minami Seira. About The Rising of the Shield Hero
The Rising of the Shield Hero (Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari) is a Japanese light novel series written by Aneko Yusagi and Illustrated by Minami Seira. This novel was first published as a web novel at the site Shousetsuka ni Narou (Let’s Become A Novelist). After that, this series is published by Media Factory with an expanded storyline. There are a total of 22 volumes of this novel, as of 25 June 2019.
This novel later got a manga adaptation illustrated by Aiya Kyu and published by Media Factory. This manga has a total of 24 volumes as of November 22, 2023. and were published in North America starting in September 2015.
This novel later got an anime adaptation produced by Kinema Citrus in January 2019. There are 3 seasons of this anime. Season 4 is also announced.
Both the novel and manga series was licensed in English by One Peace Books and describes its plot as:
