Miyazaki, a Tokyo-born animator and co-founder of Studio Ghibli, has left an incredible mark on the animation industry. Elemental is a 2023 American animated romantic comedy-drama film produced by Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studios. This film is directed by Peter Sohn and it was written by Sohn, John Hoberg, Kat Likkel, and Brenda Hsueh. Sohn pitched the concept to Pixar on the idea of “whether fire and water could ever connect or not” which led to the development of this film. This film was considered as sleeper hit and grossed over $496.4 million worldwide.

Nimona is a 2023 American animated science fantasy adventure comedy-drama film directed by Nick Bruno and Troy Quane. This is based on the graphic novel by ND Stevenson. The animation adaptation of this graphic novel was planned multiple times in the past but it was delayed every time. But in 2021, Annapurna Pictures revived the project, DNEG Animation provided animation in this film, and Netflix acquired its worldwide distribution.

This film did its world premiere at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival on June 14, 2023, and was also released in selected cinemas on June 23. It started streaming on Netflix on June 30. This film received many positive reviews from critics on its animation, Musical score, Characters, humor, Tone, Writing, and Vocal Performances.

Robot Dreams is a 2023 Spanish-French animated tragicomedy film written and directed by Pablo Berger. It is based on the comic Sara Varon. This film feature friendship between a dog and a robot set in Manhattan, New York in 1984. This film does not contain any dialogues. Robot Dreams had its world premiere at the 76th Cannes Film Festival on May 21, 2023.
