Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Look Back Manga Gets Anime Film

On 13 February 2024, it is announced that Tatsuki Fujimoto‘s one-shot manga “Look Back” will be made into an anime movie. A Key Visual and announcement trailer is released. This movie is set to release in Japanese Cinemas on June 28, 2024.

Director Kiyotaka Oshiyama (Known for Devilman: Crybaby (2018), The Wind Rises (2013) and The Secret World of Arrietty (2010)) will Direct, Screenplay, and will draw character designs for this film. Studio Durian is the incharge of animating this movie.

Mangaka Tatsuki Fujimoto commented about this movie:

This is a work that I created to force myself to digest things that I couldn’t digest inside of me. I don’t know if I was able to draw it or not, but I am grateful that so many people were involved in turning this work into a movie. Director Oshiyama is a monster animator that most anime otakus don’t know about, so as an otaku, I’m looking forward to seeing this work on screen.

Look Back is a Japanese one-shot manga written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto. It was published in July 2021 on Shueisha’s Shounen Jump+. This manga got liesensed in English by Viz Media and Shueisha’s Manga Plus Platform.
