Rurouni Kenshin – Meiji Kenkaku Romantan anime remake is based on the manga by Nobuhiro Watsuki. Season 2 of this anime will cover the iconic Kyoto Arc of the story.

About RuRouni Kenshin

Rurouni Kenshin – Meiji Kenkaku Romantan is a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Nobuhiro Watsuki. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shounen Jump magazine on April 1994. It contains a total of 28 volumes, and after some years, it was reprinted into 22 volumes.

This manga later got an anime adaptation produced by Studio Gallop, Studio Deen, and SPE Visual Works which was released on January 1996. This anime has 1 featured film and 2 OVAs.

This manga also received an anime remake produced by LindenFilms which was released on July 2023. This series’ Season 2 is also announced and will be released on October 2024.
