On 24 February 2024, the official website of “NieR:Automata Ver1.1a” anime revealed a brand new key visual. It is also revealed that part 2 of this anime is set to release in 2024.

Animation studio A-1 Pictures will be back for animating part 2 of NieR:Automata Ver1.1a. All staff members and Voice acting cast from part 1 will be back in Part 2.
They also released a short teaser about this Part 2:
Nier: Automata is an action role-playing game developed by PlatinumGames and published by Square Enix in 2017. It was originally released for PlayStation 4 and Windows via Steam. It also got Xbox One port in the same year and A Nintendo Switch port in 2022.
This game later got an anime adaptation titled “Nier:Automata Ver1.1a” by studio A-1 Pictures, directed by Ryouji Masuyama and co-written by Masuyama and Yoko Taro.
Steam describes this game plot as:
“NieR: Automata tells the story of androids 2B, 9S and A2 and their battle to reclaim the machine-driven dystopia overrun by powerful machines.
