On 9 January 2024, the official X account of the upcoming Live-action Film “My Home Hero” which is based on the manga by Yamakawa Naoki and Masashi Asaki reveals the brand new key visual and trailer. They also reveal additional casting featuring Kenjiro Tsuda and more and also about the Theme song for this film will be performed by EVE.

This trailer features the story which centers on Tetsuo being cornered one after another by the Mano Society and the police after the body Tetsuo hid was discovered in a landslide.

This movie will be the sequel to the Live-Action Series of the same name which aired on October 24, 2023. This movie will conclude the story of the series.
My Home Hero is a Japanese Manga Series written by Yamakawa Naoki and Illustrated by Masashi Asaki. It was serialized in May 2017 in Kodansha’s seinen manga magazine Weekly Young Magazine. This manga is still ongoing with 22 Volumes as of September 2023.
This manga later got an anime adaptation by Tezuka Productions which was released on April 2023. This Manga later got the live-action drama series which premiered in October 2023. This live-action drama sequel film is set to release in Japanese theatres on 8 March 2024.
Kodansha US Publishing licensed this manga in English and describes its plot as follows:
“Tetsuo Tosu is a typical father whose biggest worries are his job and his rebellious daughter, Reika. That is, until he finds a bruise on her face. His worst fears come true when he finds out she has a secret boyfriend…and he’s part of a crime ring that’s using her to steal her grandparent’s wealth.
If that wasn’t bad enough, the thug catches Tetsuo snooping around and threatens to kill Reika as soon as she gets home. Fueled by fatherly instincts, Tetsuo murders the man…only for his wife to walk in and witness what he’s done. Now with a corpse to hide and a crime ring hot on his tail, Tetsuo must resort to his love of detective novels and his wits to stay one step ahead of a grim fate…“
