The Yahoo! Japan Search Awards 2025, sponsored by LINE Yahoo!, have announced the results for this year’s most rapidly rising search trends, based on the titles that recorded the largest increase in search volume compared to the previous year. In the Anime Category, Mobile Suit Gundam: GQuuuuuuX secured the top position, reflecting its strong cultural impact and widespread public interest throughout 2025.
The Yahoo! Japan Search Awards recognize people, works, and content that experienced the most significant surge in search volume compared to the previous year. The 2025 selections were based on search data collected between January 1 and November 1, 2025.

1. Mobile Suit Gundam: GQuuuuuuX
Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX is an anime series broadcast from April to June this year, during which searches increased sharply around episode release dates. The title also drew attention for its joint production by Sunrise, the studio behind the long-running Mobile Suit Gundam franchise, and Studio Khara, known for the Evangelion series. Ahead of the TV broadcast, a reconstructed theatrical version titled Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX –Beginning– premiered in January, contributing further to search momentum.
In the Film Category, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba The Movie: Infinity Castle – Chapter 1: Akaza Returns secures the No. 2 position.
