Crunchyroll, in collaboration with Paris-based production company AllSo, is producing a two-part documentary titled “THE LEVELING OF SOLO LEVELING”. This documentary aims to trace the journey of “Solo Leveling” from a popular webtoon to an anime phenomenon.

The documentary, which was shot in Korea and Japan, features interviews with over 20 individuals, including fans, and provides an in-depth look into the many different forms of “Solo Leveling”. They also dropped a trailer for the two-part documentary.

The documentary will consist of two episodes as follows:
The first episode: The first episode will be titled “A Hunter Rises”, which takes viewers to Korea to meet with D&C Media, the publisher of the web novel and webtoon, and Redice, the world’s largest webtoon studio. This episode focuses on the early stages of “Solo Leveling”.
The second episode: The second episode will be titled “Second Awakening”, and shifts the setting to Japan, where viewers are introduced to the producers at Aniplex and A-1 Pictures, as well as the director of the “Solo Leveling” anime. This episode delves into the adaptation process and includes interviews with Crunchyroll’s marketing and production team members, Chris & Kanako, discussing how Crunchyroll is elevating “Solo Leveling”.
