Hey there welcome to the fifth issue of Anime news & updates from 17th september to 23rd september where we cover all the news and anime updates that comes through out the week in a single week hope you guys enjoy it so let’s start with our first news of the week. This week is also filled with awesome updates unlike last week, so let’s dive into it.
1. One Piece Live Action Season 2 is officially announced
One Piece live action season 2 is finally confirmed by Netflix and Eiichiro Oda on 15 September 2023, by dropping a special message at their Youtube channel. After the great success of season 1 and breaking the curse of anime’s live action they released a special message in which Oda is covering his face all the time and he’s taking the report of season 1 and at the mean time they confirmed that netflix will renew the show. But it’ll take time to write the script, so be patient.

5. Live Action GTO gets new TV special
Popular Live Action “GTO: Great Teacher Onizuka” Returns with a TV Speical on Spring 2024.
This TV special is titled as “GTO Revival” which will air on Kansai TV And Fuji TV.

6. Studio Ghibli is Acquired by Nippon TV.
Japanese broadcaster Nippon Televisions Holdings has announced that Studio Ghibli will become its subsidiary this October.
This studio which was founded in 1985, will be lead by Nippon TV’s senior operating officer and board director Hiroyuki Fukuda, with Ghibli president Toshio Suzuki as chairman and director Hayao Miyazaki as honorary chairman.
Miyazaki and Suzuki are currently 82 and 75 years, respectively, and Miyazaki’s oldest son and fellow director, Gorou Miyazaki, had declined being the one to take over the studio, feeling that it would be too difficult a task for him to shoulder alone. The search for another candidate eventually led to talks with Nippon TV.
The new deal will see Nippon TV owning 42.3％ of Ghibli’s shares, making it the majority shareholder.
