On 28th February 2024, the Theme song for the “Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 (Japanese name: 無職転生～異世界行ったら本気だす～第2期 Mushoku Tensei Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu Dai-ni ki)” 2nd season cour 2 was announced by the official website of the anime.
The opening song for the new season will be performed by Japanese rock band Hitorie. The ending theme song will be performed by singer-songwriter Yuko Oohara. The opening song for season 2 is Hitorie’s new song “On the Frontline” and the ending theme song is “Mamoritai Mono”
Both Hitorie and Ohara expressed their excitement about their involvement in Mushoku Tensei anime and commented:
We are very honored to have our song “On The Frontline” chosen as the opening theme song for the second season of the TV anime “Mushoku Tensei”. This song is about the helplessness of Rudeus Greyrat before he became Rudeus, his strong determination not to repeat that in this life, the battlefront he goes to in order to carry out that determination, and the fundamental weakness that still lies dormant within him that he sometimes has to face. It’s a song that reflects on various aspects of ourselves, such as what we really need to protect and why we need to be strong. As a result we ended up with a very emotionally intense song. This year marks the 10th anniversary of our major debut, and we hope that the band sound that we have honed on the front lines of our live stages will be the catalyst that will further accelerate this work.

am really happy to be able to continue to be in charge of the ending theme song for the second cour of “Mushoku Tensei II”. I feel like the melody and lyrics have become more straightforward as the story progresses from the first season to the second season. The arrangement for the second season was once again done by MANYO, and the band members remain the same, so we will deliver the same familiar sound. I am also looking forward to the anime broadcast just like all of you viewers!

Funimation explains season 1 of this anime as follows:
“The story follows a 34-year-old man who is killed after trying to save someone from getting hit by a car. He soon finds himself reincarnated in a magical world as Rudeus Greyrat, except that he gets his whole life reset, starting as a baby.
With all of his knowledge from his previous life, and a new heaping helping of magical ability, Rudeus quickly becomes a formidable warrior ready for adventure. Oh, and he’s still a total pervert.“
Mushoku Tensei Season 2 Cour 2 season of the anime will begin broadcasting on April 7th.
