The official trailer has been released for the upcoming previously announced 29th film of the Detective Conan anime franchise, Detective Conan Movie 29: Fallen Angel Of The Highway (Japanese Name: Meitantei Conan Movie 29: Highway no Datenshi). This movie is set to release next year, April 10, 2026. The official X account of this anime released a brand new “Angel” key visual, and the official YouTube channel of Toho Movie released a 30-second short teaser for this upcoming film:

The trailer depicts the flashy motorcycle scenes on the highway with the Goddess of Wind, Hagiwara Chihaya and a mysterious person with a black bike. The key visual also depicts the word “Angel” twice, where the first one is written into the blue sky, and another one is written between the flames, showing it in hell.
The official website of this movie released its official synopsis:
“The incident takes place in Yokohama.
Suddenly, a mysterious black motorcycle leaps over the car Conan and his friends are riding in and speeds down the road, with Hagiwara Chihaya, a police motorcycle officer from the Kanagawa Prefectural Police Traffic Mobile Unit, chasing it. Chihaya, whose driving skills are so incredible that Ran praises him as the “goddess of the wind” when they first meet, lifts the front wheel of his motorcycle to accelerate and races up the wall beside the road. The video begins with an intense motorcycle action scene that keeps you glued to the screen from start to finish, filled with a sense of speed!
What does the photo of Chihaya’s deceased younger brother, Hagiwara Kenji, and his best friend, Matsuda Jinpei, and the calendar showing their death anniversary, “November 7th,” mean? What connection is there between these two men who have already died in the line of duty, and the current unfolding incident? What is the true identity of the “black fallen angel” who appeared before Chihaya?“
The main staff announced for this movie includes:
Director: Takahiro Hasui (Known For Directing Yaiba’s Remake)
Script: Takahiro Okura
Music: Yugo Kanno

About Detective Conan
Detective Conan, also known as Case Closed, is a long-running Japanese detective manga and anime series written and illustrated by Gosho Aoyama. The story follows Shinichi Kudo, a high school detective who is transformed into a child after being forced to take a mysterious poison by a criminal group known as the Black Organization. Under the alias Conan Edogawa, he continues solving complex cases while secretly investigating the organization to regain his original body.
The franchise is one of the most successful in anime history, with 1,100+ episodes, 28 films, and over 270 million manga copies sold worldwide. This franchise’s 29th movie is also announced for April 10, 2026.
The plot announced for this movie:
“Conan, Ran, Sonoko, and Kogoro are heading to the Minato Mirai area of Yokohama, where the Kanagawa Motorcycle Festival is being held, with fellow motorcycle enthusiast Sera Masumi, when a mysterious out-of-control black motorcycle appears, jumping over the car Conan and the others are riding in.
And the one chasing it was the “Goddess of the Wind” that Ran had once seen, Hagiwara Chihaya of the Kanagawa Prefectural Police Traffic Mobile Unit.
However, after a fierce car chase, Chihaya’s bike is completely destroyed and she narrowly misses her target.
Later, when Conan and his friends arrive at the festival venue in Yokohama, they find that a police motorcycle equipped with the latest technology, called “Angel,” is being unveiled.
Meanwhile, there are reports that a runaway “black motorcycle” has appeared in Tokyo, and has even managed to escape pursuit by the Metropolitan Police Department.
The car goes out of control with no clear purpose in mind, but it turns out to be very similar to the “Angel,” so they call it the black angel “Lucifer” and continue their pursuit.
Who is the perpetrator and what is his purpose?
And for some reason, memories of her younger brother, Hagiwara Kenji, and his classmate, Matsuda Jinpei, cross her mind…“
